I have always worked with children since leaving school. In 1998 I obtained a BTEC diploma in nursery nursing. Throughout my career I have worked in private day nurseries, as a teaching assistant in two local primary schools and ran a successful childminding business.  

My dream was to open my own day nursery and to provide a home from home service.

In 2015 Luans Little People was born.

In 2017 we opened Luans little people within the grounds of Bassetlaw Hospital a site that had previously been a nursery and one I always wanted to reopen to provide an outstanding service to the local community.

I am often seen in nursery and like to keep involved both in rooms and supporting the management team

I started working at Luans Little People Day Nursery in December 2017 where I started work in the baby room, moving up to a room leader role within a few months, my passion working in Early years then grew from strength to strength encouraging me to achieve further by completing a foundation degree in early childhood studies. I became  deputy manager in 2020 and stepped up to Manager in 2022  which gives me great pleasure as my passion for working in Early years can be shared and developed as a team. My greatest pleasure as a manager is to see children achieve and develop in their journeys from day to day, ensuring the children’s health and well-being is always the centre of what we set out to achieve.

Julie takes care of all the financial side of the day nursery including invoicing and applying for funded childcare.

After a career in various Senior Management roles Ian brings to Luan’s Little People a number of skills such as Organisational Skills, Financial Management and Leadership.

Ian believes it is an absolute privilege to be involved with young people at these key stages in their lives.

Ellie started at Luans Little People In 2022,

Ellie has attended  baby training courses and has lots of experience working with the under 2's.

Ellie started her career as an Apprentice at the age of 16, then progressed to nursery practitioner. Ellie has worked in early years  for 7 years and has gained lots of experience and knowledge to provide the best care to all babies under 2 which led her to being the Room Leader at Luans Little People.

I started working at Luans Little People in January 2021, I started working with children 9 years ago after having three children of my own. I enjoy building relationships with the children, getting to know their individual personalities and helping them to achieve their full potential.
